Police in Almaty's Almaly district conducted a raid on apartments that may have been used to provide intimate services, according to the website infohub.kz.
The Almaty Police Department said on Instagram that three addresses were checked in the district within a single day. Women suspected of providing intimate services were found in the apartments.
"They posted their offers on various internet resources, including under the guise of so-called 'body massage,'" the city police department said.
All the women were taken to the district police station. Preventive talks were held with them and they were registered for the appropriate preventive monitoring in accordance with established procedures.
"However, responsibility is not limited to the direct participants. The owners of the inspected apartments have also been held administratively liable.
In addition, the materials have been sent to the Almaly District State Revenue Office. Specialists will check the legality of renting out the housing and compliance with tax legislation," the police added.
The Almaty Police Department warned that police will continue to identify apartments that may be used for illegal activities.
