In Almaty, police patrols and district inspectors respond to calls received at the 102 dispatch center within 3–5 minutes, regardless of the complexity of the situation. However, as noted by the Department of Police, there can be delays, reports infohub.kz.

Timur Nogaybayev, head of the Public Security Department, explained at a briefing at the Regional Communications Service that priority is always given to reports of serious crimes. If cases of delay are identified, the police investigate with the callers and the patrol units.

Saltanat Azirbek, official representative of the Almaty Police Department, added that about 3,000 messages and calls are received daily on channel 102. Processing each one takes time. Approximately 20% of calls are informational in nature, but the police respond to all calls. The basic arrival time for a patrol crew at the scene is 3–5 minutes. Then, the person who requested help promptly receives qualified assistance, and if necessary, an investigative team is called. No call is left unattended; all are handled at the proper level.
