According to the city's police department, on September 1, the personnel of the Almaty Police Department will be placed on an enhanced duty regime. Police details will be deployed near all secondary schools in the city.
Manual traffic regulation will be organized at key intersections and traffic lights during morning and evening rush hours. Inspectors will work from 7:30 to 9:00 and from 17:30 to 19:30.
The police department noted that special attention will be paid to compliance with traffic rules, including stopping and parking near schools, as well as giving way to pedestrians. Speed limits will be monitored using CCTV cameras and road signs.
