Residents of Almaty have faced disruptions in water supply. The cause is linked to the operation of pumping equipment, which depends on electricity supply, reports infohub.kz.
The company "Almaty Su" explained that during power outages, pumping stations cannot operate normally. This can lead to reduced water pressure, temporary lack of water on upper floors, and interruptions in water supply to certain houses and neighborhoods.
After electricity is restored, pumping stations are restarted, and water supply gradually recovers, the company noted.
"Almaty Su" appealed to residents to understand the temporary disruptions.
Earlier, residents of Shymkent reported power outages, and Almaty experienced a massive blackout. Also, residents of Kyrgyzstan complained about widespread power cuts.
