An incident involving a chase and the use of service weapons occurred in the village of Zhainak in the Ili District of Almaty Region, where police were forced to shoot at the tires of a car whose driver refused to stop. Video from the scene circulated online, and the regional police department commented on the circumstances, infohub.kz reports.
The published footage shows officers attempting to block the road for a passenger car. The driver, however, disobeyed and continued moving, after which police opened fire on the vehicle's tires.
