Almaty Region is continuing systematic efforts to strengthen the material and technical base of its law enforcement agencies. Regional head Chingis Arinov handed over the keys to 50 new domestically produced official vehicles to the police department and government institutions, infohub.kz reports.

"The state has always paid special attention to strengthening the material and technical base of law enforcement agencies. As part of this work, 50 new domestically produced official vehicles are being handed over to the police department and government institutions. Congratulations on the fleet upgrade!" the regional akimat quoted Chingis Arinov as saying.

He also recalled that President Qasym-Jomart Toqaev, in his address to the people of Kazakhstan, identified the principle of "Law and Order" as one of the state's main priorities. "Your role in carrying out this responsible mission is extremely important," the regional akim stressed, addressing police officers.

The region is carrying out systematic work to ensure public safety. In particular, 11,400 surveillance cameras have been installed in public places across the region and connected to the Operational Management Center. This makes it possible to promptly suppress offenses and respond quickly to incidents.

In addition, support to improve police effectiveness will continue next year. In particular, funding from the local budget is earmarked for 150 additional staff positions for district and patrol police.

Alongside state support, it is important to use existing resources effectively. Given limited budget funds, the property entrusted to them must be treated with care and the new vehicles operated efficiently. This is the responsibility of every officer. "Our common goal is to create a safe environment, reduce crime and improve the quality of life of the population," Chingis Arinov noted.

The new official vehicles have been handed over to police departments in the cities of Qonaev and Alatau, as well as in Yenbekshikazakh, Ili, Talgar, Karasai, Zhambyl, Balkhash, Kegen, Raiymbek and Uyghur districts.
