Almaty is continuing to change the traffic organization on Seifullin Avenue. The work covers the section from Al-Farabi Avenue to Satpayev Street, with all main U-turns on it retained, and a new traffic light planned near the Forum shopping and entertainment center, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the Department of Traffic Organization and Passenger Transport, the changes are aimed at improving safety and streamlining traffic flows.
"At the same time, all main U-turns on this section are retained. Drivers will still be able to make a U-turn near the Forum shopping and entertainment center, at the turnaround loop, and also turn onto Popov Street. In addition, to improve pedestrian safety, a new traffic light is planned near the Forum shopping and entertainment center. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year. After all the planned measures are completed, traffic on this section will be organized in accordance with the updated pattern, taking into account the convenience and safety of all road users," the statement says.
