Almaty will seize more than 20 land plots to create a new park near the intersection of Nazarbayev and Al-Farabi avenues. The relevant resolutions of the city akimat have already been published in the newspaper Vecherniy Almaty, reports infohub.kz.
According to the documents, the akimat has ordered the forced alienation of 21 land plots in the Medeu district for state needs. This concerns a public facility — a park that will be located south of Al-Farabi Avenue and west of Nazarbayev Avenue.
The date of forced alienation has been set — December 31, 2028. Owners will be compensated in accordance with the procedure established by law, and after seizure the land plots will be transferred to the balance of the Almaty Department for the Development of Public Spaces. The demolition will affect owners of plots located on Kirpichnozavodskaya, Panfilov, and Nazarbayev streets.
In addition, several plots in other districts of the city are also subject to seizure. Thus, a plot at 94 Kuldzhinsky Trakt will be seized for the construction of a water pumping station. A neighboring plot at 94/2 Kuldzhinsky Trakt will be seized for the reconstruction of Kuldzhinsky Trakt from Ryskulov Avenue to Bukhtarminskaya Street. Another plot in the Tastak-2 microdistrict, 5/1, will be seized for a public facility.
All alienation work is expected to be completed by December 31, 2027. In addition, a right of limited use will be established on a land plot of 0.1665 hectares out of a total area of 0.9724 hectares, located in the Kokshoky microdistrict, 1/10, for the construction of a road to the Kokzhailau ski resort for the construction period until the end of 2029.
