Police in Almaty have identified a video on social media that led to two women being held administratively liable, according to infohub.kz.
According to the department, the women, aged 19 and 21, were arrested. They were livestreaming on TikTok from the territory of a car market while using obscene language.
Administrative proceedings were launched against both women. A court ruled that each should serve five days of arrest.
"Public space, including social media and livestreams, does not exempt citizens from responsibility for violating public order. In this case, the unlawful behavior was recorded, the identities of the participants were established, and the materials were then sent to court. The decision on the administrative penalty was made by the court," said Timur Nogaybayev, head of the Public Security Department of the Almaty Police Department.
Police remind that social media is not a zone free from responsibility. Actions that disrupt public order and fall under administrative law carry appropriate punishment.
