In Almaty, witnesses filmed a mass vehicle evacuation: on Ryskulbekov Street near the Kazakh Head Architectural and Construction Academy (KazGASA), more than 10 tow trucks were operating simultaneously, reports infohub.kz.

The video was posted by the Instagram account almatynews_kaz. According to the eyewitness, at the time of filming, over 20 cars were parked along the road.

The Almaty Police Department told a NUR.KZ correspondent that there was no incident. These are routine raids to identify violations of stopping and parking rules, which are conducted on an ongoing basis.

"The main goal of the raids is to ensure road safety and prevent situations that create obstacles for other road users," the police noted.

According to the Administrative Police Department, since the beginning of the year, over 35,000 violators have been held administratively liable for violating stopping or parking rules, and more than 10,000 vehicles have been placed in a specialized impound lot.

"The police urge drivers to comply with traffic rules, pay attention to road signs and markings, and use only permitted parking areas," the police department addressed residents and guests of Almaty.
