From August 31 to September 14, traffic will be partially restricted on one of Almaty's streets due to the installation of utility networks for a residential complex under construction, reports infohub.kz.
According to the city's Department of Energy and Water Supply, the work will take place in the Almaly district. The networks are being laid for the new residential complex "Shevchenko-Baizakov." As a result, traffic will be partially restricted on the section of Baizakov Street from Zhambyl to Shevchenko. Drivers are asked to take the temporary restrictions into account and plan their routes in advance.
The department clarified that the work will be carried out in three sections. Heating networks will be laid from the connection point at Zhambyl Street, 168a, to the building under construction. Water supply and drainage networks will be laid from the connection points at Baizakov Street, 232, to the facility.
The installation of utility networks will be performed by Qazaq Stroy. The project also includes the installation of sewerage networks and subsequent landscaping of the area. All work is planned to be completed by September 18, 2026.
The department also appealed to residents and drivers to understand the temporary inconveniences, take the restrictions into account when planning their movements, and observe safety measures near the work site.
