In Almaty, a locomotive collided with a KamAZ truck at a railway crossing, hospitalizing the truck driver, according to infohub.kz.

The accident occurred in the Turksib district of the city. Preliminary reports indicate that the KamAZ driver pulled onto the crossing during a maneuver and was hit by a locomotive pulling nine cars.

"The KamAZ driver sustained injuries and was taken to a medical facility. The truck suffered severe mechanical damage," the police department said.

The incident has been registered with the Turksib District Police Department. Officers responded to the scene, conducted an inspection, and prepared a diagram of the accident. The circumstances are being investigated.

The police reminded that railway crossings are high-risk zones: "A railway crossing is a zone of increased danger where the cost of a single mistake can be too high. Drivers must strictly follow crossing rules and be extremely cautious when crossing tracks."
