Almaty authorities conducted an unscheduled inspection after residents of the Tri Bogatyrya residential complex complained about the risk of building collapse, ordering the owner of a non-residential premises to suspend renovation work and rectify violations, according to infohub.kz.

According to NUR.KZ, citing the city administration, Almaty's Department of Urban Planning Control inspected non-residential premises No. 142 at 44 Dostyk Avenue. Work there had begun without the required permits and design documentation.

"The inspection found that the owner, Zhaса Development LLP, began renovating the premises without the necessary permits and design documentation. The department took administrative measures. The owner was issued an order to rectify violations, conduct a technical inspection of the facility, and suspend construction and installation work until the requirements are met," the statement said.

The inspection also found that the building's load-bearing structures were not affected during the work, and no damage to their integrity was detected. Residents were invited to the site, where department staff explained the inspection results.

"Department staff invited residents of the building and informed them directly on site. It should be noted that the owner will be able to resume work only after fulfilling the requirements of the order and completing the necessary documentation," the city administration added.
