Designs for the future Uly Dala park, to be located along the Bolshoy Almatinsky Canal in Almaty's Alatau district, have been unveiled, according to infohub.kz.
Speaking at a briefing at the regional communications service, Alatau district akim Daniyar Kirikbayev said that landscaping work is already underway in the Sayaly microdistrict for the Uly Dala park with a sensory trail, at the intersection of Ak-Kainar Street and along the Bolshoy Almatinsky Canal. The project cost, he said, is 273.2 million tenge.
"The project includes the installation of lightweight architectural structures with decorative lighting, art objects, and lighting poles. In addition, trees and shrubs will be planted, an automated irrigation system will be installed, and other related work will be carried out," the akim added.
The park's total area is 1.2 hectares.
