A walk along a riverbank in Almaty turned into an unexpected discovery for a local resident — a man found a bag containing items resembling weapons, reports infohub.kz citing NUR.KZ and the city's police department.
According to the Almaty Police Department, the incident occurred in the Turksib district. A passerby spotted a bag with weapon-like objects and immediately called 102. A rapid response team arrived and safely seized the dangerous find.
The seized items have been sent for forensic ballistic examination. Police in the Turksib district will determine their origin, ownership, and any possible links to past crimes.
