Almaty residents are circulating videos on social media showing the same woman allegedly attacking passersby and throwing stones at them, reports infohub.kz.
A Threads user under the handle makpal.yessenamanova posted a video capturing a confrontation between a man and a woman on one of the city's streets. In the comments, other Almaty residents began sharing their own recordings, which they say feature the same woman. According to city residents, she allegedly throws stones at passersby, aiming for their heads.
The Almaty Police Department responded to the post. "During social media monitoring, a video was found showing a woman behaving inappropriately toward passersby. A case was registered with the Bostandyk district police department. That same day at 17:44, a report was received that an unknown woman was throwing stones at passing cars on Rozybakiev Street. Police officers who arrived at the scene detained the woman, born in 1999, and took her to the district police department," law enforcement officials said.
