In the Zhambyl region, a man has been penalized for damaging his neighbor's property following a conflict sparked by video recording without his consent, reports the website infohub.kz.

According to the official Telegram channel of the Zhambyl regional courts, the Zhambyl district court reviewed an administrative case against the man for intentional damage to another person's property (Part 1 of Article 147-1 of the Administrative Code).

It was established that in March 2026, in the village of Grodekovo, a conflict occurred between the man and his neighbor. During the quarrel, he damaged the victim's mobile phone, surveillance cameras, and gate.

His guilt was proven by the protocol, explanations of the parties, and other case materials.

The offender fully admitted his guilt and repented. He explained that the conflict arose due to video recording that the neighbor conducted without his consent. Additionally, his dissatisfaction was caused by the surveillance cameras being directed at his house and adjacent plot.

The victim reported that the neighbor's children bought her a new phone, so she has no claims in that regard. However, she asked to recover 500,000 tenge as compensation for moral damages.

Considering the admission of guilt, repentance, absence of prior offenses, and aggravating circumstances, the court reduced the fine by 30% (to 151,000 tenge). The court explained that the victim could seek moral damages through civil proceedings.

The ruling has entered into legal force, and the fine has been paid in full.
