The chairperson of the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan explained during a briefing at the Central Communications Service how applicants can resolve the confusion over documents, according to infohub.kz.
Journalists reported that some graduates with red diplomas were incorrectly listed as holders of the Altyn Belgi award, causing problems when applying for grants. Media representatives asked whether the issue had been resolved, given that the application deadline is approaching.
"When accepting documents, we pull data on diplomas and other personal information from information systems. There were a few such cases (where documents had confusion — ed. note). We are resolving everything promptly. The deadline for grant applications ends on July 20," said Committee Chair Gulzhan Dzharasova.
In such cases, she advises applicants to contact university admissions offices. "No applicant will miss the opportunity to submit documents for a grant because of this. All issues will be resolved in a timely manner, and we will keep the matter under control," the speaker assured.
Earlier, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education also summarized the results of the main Unified National Testing (UNT) 2026, which was held from May 10 to July 10.
