An ambulance driver in the West Kazakhstan Region has posted a video showing the conditions on a bypass road between the Kaztalovsky and Akzhayik districts. The footage appeared on the social network Threads on the page of the public group "Zhaloby Uralska" (Complaints of Uralsk), according to infohub.kz.
According to the video's author, this section is being used because the main highway is under repair. However, the road is very dusty, making visibility almost zero.
"Look at this impenetrable dust. When a car overtakes you, you have to turn on your hazard lights so they don't crash into you," the driver says.
He also noted that the surface is not watered down or leveled.
The driver is especially concerned that patients have to be transported along this road.
"If we collide in this dust and something happens to a patient, all the blame will be put on us drivers. Even though road workers are supposed to look after the road," he said.
The video's author called the situation unacceptable and urged attention to the condition of the bypass section.
Earlier, "Kursiv Auto" reported how a driver showed the Uralsk–Aksai highway at night, which looks "like after a bombing."
