David Rush, an Idaho resident already known as a serial record-breaker, has added another Guinness World Record to his collection. This time he set a world record for the fastest time to flip 10 plastic cups, spending about five months preparing, according to infohub.kz.
According to UPI, the challenge began as a friendly competition with a colleague named Alex but eventually grew into full-fledged preparation for an official attempt.
To achieve the result, the American needed months of hard training and thousands of failed attempts. In the end, Rush managed to flip 10 cups in just 6.63 seconds, beating the previous world mark of 7.57 seconds. During the stunt, he had to toss and flip each cup so that it landed successfully on the table upside down.
David Rush holds more than 200 Guinness titles at the same time. Through his unusual performances, he draws attention to the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Commenting on skeptical remarks about the simplicity of his new achievement, the record-holder advised critics to try repeating the trick themselves.
