Kazhydromet forecasters have released their weather outlook for July 16, 17, and 18, reports infohub.kz.
From July 16 to 18, a northwestern cyclone and associated atmospheric fronts will bring unstable weather to the west, north, center, and east of the country. Rain and thunderstorms are expected, with heavy precipitation in some areas on July 16 and 17. Hail and squally winds are possible.
Due to the precipitation, the heat in western Kazakhstan will gradually ease. Daytime temperatures will reach +22...+35°C, while in the north a temporary drop to +21...+36°C is expected.
In the central and eastern regions, very intense heat will persist, up to +41°C.
The hottest weather is forecast for the south, southeast, and parts of the southwest of the country. These areas will remain under the influence of hot air masses from Central Asia. Mostly dry conditions are expected, except for possible brief thundery showers in the mountainous southeast. Daytime temperatures will reach +41...+46°C, above the climatic norm.
Earlier, Kazhydromet forecasters reported that July in Kazakhstan is expected to be contrasting: periods of intense heat will alternate with downpours, thunderstorms, squally winds, and dust storms. In the southern regions, temperatures may reach +45°C on some days.
