A judicial panel for criminal cases in Karaganda has reviewed an appeal filed by the defense attorney for the wife of Olympic boxing champion Daniyar Yeleussinov, who was convicted in the beating of two women, and left the lower court's verdict unchanged, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the official Telegram channel of the courts of the Karaganda region, the judicial panel for criminal cases heard the criminal case against the convicted woman on September 14. According to case materials, on January 27, 2026, at around 21:10, she went to the apartment of two women to clarify the circumstances of an insult to her grandfather, and during the ensuing conflict she beat them and committed other violent acts that caused the victims physical pain.
The lower court found her guilty of a criminal offense under Article 109-1, Part 2, Point 1 of the Criminal Code, and sentenced her to a fine of 100 monthly calculation indices, amounting to 432,500 tenge. In addition, the convicted woman was ordered to pay 500,000 tenge in moral damages to each victim, as well as 1 million tenge in legal representation costs.
"The judicial panel, having reviewed on appeal the criminal case submitted on the appeal of the convicted woman's defense attorney, left the lower court's verdict unchanged. The lower court's verdict has entered into legal force," the court said.
Recall that the incident involving the wife of boxer Daniyar Yeleussinov occurred this winter in one of the buildings in Maikuduk. The verdict in this high-profile case was handed down in the summer.
