Apple has unveiled updates to iOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, visionOS 27 and macOS 27, and alongside them launched a new version of its Siri voice assistant equipped with artificial intelligence features. The website infohub.kz reports which devices will receive the update and which of them will support the AI agent.
The headline feature is Siri with artificial intelligence capabilities. The assistant will be able to draw on a user's personal information from various apps and take screen content into account when generating responses. Apple also introduced a standalone Siri app.
For now, the new feature is available only on devices set to English. In October, the company plans to add French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. Russian and Kazakh are not yet on the list. In European Union countries, AI-powered Siri will not work at first.
iOS 27 also brings a redesigned Liquid Glass look, AI tools for editing photos, an equalizer setting for AirPods and expanded parental controls. In addition, a single phone number can now be used on two iPhones. According to Apple, apps may launch up to 30% faster after the update.
iOS 27 itself can be installed by owners of the iPhone 11 and newer models, as well as the second- and third-generation iPhone SE. However, the new Siri is far from available on every device compatible with iOS 27. The feature works on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and all iPhone 16 models and newer.
On iPad, AI-powered Siri is supported by the iPad mini with the A17 Pro chip and tablets with M1 and newer processors. On Mac, the feature is available on computers with M1 chips and newer. Support is also listed for Apple Vision Pro, Apple Watch Series 9 and newer, Apple Watch Ultra 2 and newer, and Apple Watch SE 3.
Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that prices for Apple's autumn lineup in Kazakhstan had become known.
