Arsen Tomsky, founder of the international service inDrive, showcased Kazakh hospitality at the Burning Man festival in Nevada's Black Rock Desert. Together with participants of the Kazakh camp, the entrepreneur fried a large batch of baursaks and treated hundreds of festival guests, reports infohub.kz.
In the published footage, the treats are served right in a yurt, with traditional dishes and sauce. "We brought a bit of Kazakh hospitality to Burning Man. We fried baursaks and handed them out to camp guests. An absolute hit!" Tomsky wrote on social media.
Judging by the reaction of participants, baursaks were indeed a success: guests eagerly tried the treat and took photos with the Kazakhs. In the comments, the post was already praised as a great way to showcase Kazakh culture abroad. "Well, here it is, perfectly executed Kazakh technology. Yurts are ideal dwellings that withstand storms," "Well done," "The Playa has never seen such donuts and will miss them for a long time," "What a great idea to show our Kazakh hospitality abroad, well done! Kazakhstan, forward!" users write.
This is not the first Kazakh gastronomic action at this year's Burning Man. Earlier, a group of Kazakhs set up 11 yurts in the desert and treated festival participants to beshbarmak.
Burning Man is an annual festival of art and self-expression, which in 2026 takes place in Nevada from August 31 to September 7.
