Kazakh chess player Bibisara Asaubayeva commented on the draw between Kazakhstan's women's team and India at the 2026 Chess Olympiad, which is taking place in Samarkand, the website infohub.kz reports.
The athlete shared her thoughts in a video posted on a Telegram channel. According to her, the Kazakh team was close to victory, but the outcome of the match did not go its way.
"Hello everyone. Today we drew with India. We should have won the match, but we were a bit unlucky. To be honest, my strength is already running out, but there are three final games left, very important for us. We are currently in second place. Tomorrow we play Mongolia with black pieces, that's how it is. This Olympiad is very long, a bit never-ending. We have a good team, we have every chance, we will keep trying," Asaubayeva said.
Recall that on September 24, Kazakhstan's women's team recorded its second consecutive draw at the 46th World Chess Olympiad, which is being held in Samarkand.
