By decree of the head of state, Askarbek Yertayev remains Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan, reports the website infohub.kz.
Recall that in January of this year, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree appointing Askarbek Yertayev to this position. According to Akorda, the official has retained his post.
According to the Ministry of Labor's website, Askarbek Yertayev was born in 1977 in the city of Aktobe. He graduated from K. Zhubanov Aktobe State University and the Aktobe Institute of Management, Business, and Law "NUR".
He began his career in 1997 as a specialist in the apparatus of the akim of the Mugalzhar district of the Aktobe region. From 2000 to 2014, he worked in the banking sector.
In 2014, he became acting chief expert of the Trade Committee of the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2014 to 2021, he held positions of chief expert, head of department, deputy director of department, and director of department at the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2021 to 2022, he was head of the analytical sector of the Security Council of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2022 to 2023, he was head of the economic department of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government Apparatus.
From 2023 to 2024, he was chairman of the Migration Committee of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2024 to 2025, he was vice minister of labor and social protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2025 to 2026, he held the position of first vice minister of labor and social protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
