Akmola region has seen a personnel change: by order of the regional akim, Asqat Akhmedyanov has been appointed akim of Arshaly district, infohub.kz reports.

The appointment was announced on the official Telegram channel of the Akmola region akimat. Akhmedyanov had previously headed the Akmola region Department of Entrepreneurship and Industry, serving in that post from February 2026 until his new appointment.

Asqat Akhmedyanov was born on 29 May 1992 in the village of Komsomolskoye in Ualikhanov district of North Kazakhstan region. In 2013 he graduated from Turan-Astana University with a degree in state and local administration.

The new district akim's career has been linked mainly to Atbasar district. From 2014 to 2017 he worked as a chief specialist in the office of the akim of Novoaleksandrovsky rural district in Atbasar district. In 2017 he served as a chief specialist in the office of the akim of Bastau rural district in Atbasar district.

From 2017 to 2019, Akhmedyanov was akim of Pokrovsky rural district in Atbasar district, and from 2019 to 2021 he headed the entrepreneurship department of Atbasar district. He then served as akim of Makeyevsky rural district in Atbasar district from 2021 to 2023, and from 2023 to 2026 was deputy akim of Zerendinsky district.

Recall that on 21 September, the akim of Stepnogorsk, Gaidar Kasenov, and the akim of Arshaly district, Dostanbek Yeszhanov, were relieved of their posts in Akmola region. On the same day, Talgat Yerseitov was appointed akim of Stepnogorsk.
