A 21-year-old BMW driver in Astana has been hit with administrative penalties under three separate charges after a dangerous drift on a city road, infohub.kz reports.
According to the media portal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the offender was identified at the intersection of Qabanbay Batyr Avenue and Saraishyq Street. It was there that the young man deliberately performed dangerous maneuvers behind the wheel of the BMW.
"Police officers stopped the driver of a BMW who was deliberately performing dangerous maneuvers in violation of traffic rules. The driver violated the rules for operating vehicles and committed actions that posed a threat to other road users," the police department said.
According to the agency, measures were taken against the driver for several administrative offenses. He was held liable for performing a dangerous maneuver, violating the rules for operating vehicles, and petty hooliganism.
It was previously reported that a driver in Kostanay was arrested after violating traffic rules 16 times already in 2026. He was placed under arrest following a drift on the roadway.
