In Astana, two 20-year-old BMW drivers who staged noisy night races have been arrested for 10 days. One of them had illegally modified his car, reports infohub.kz.
According to the press service of the Astana Police Department, the young men drove through the city streets at night, violating maneuvering rules. One of them had made changes to the exhaust system of his vehicle.
"The loud roar of the engine disturbed the peace and public order at night, causing concern among residents of the capital," police said.
Administrative protocols were drawn up against the drivers for illegal vehicle modification and violation of maneuvering rules. The cars were impounded and taken to a municipal parking lot.
Additionally, for disturbing public order, the young men were held accountable for petty hooliganism. By court decision, each was sentenced to 10 days of arrest.
