Astana is introducing a "Digital District Police Officer" system that brings together the main tools for district officers — from neighborhood maps to resident statistics, reports infohub.kz.

According to Polisia.kz, district officers in the capital will be able to access information about their assigned territory and its residents through a single online portal, use an interactive map, monitor individuals under preventive supervision, and view statistical indicators for their district.

The system also includes a local artificial intelligence assistant designed to help officers find information faster and receive recommendations based on official documents and regulatory materials. Data will be processed within an internal digital environment without being transmitted to the internet.

Police expect the new system to reduce routine work and the time needed to find information. It should also help district officers monitor conditions in their assigned territory more quickly, plan preventive work, and evaluate its results.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that, according to Vice Minister of AI Bakhtiyar Mukhametkaliyev, civil servants and officials have no reason to fear being replaced by artificial intelligence. He stated that AI implementation is aimed solely at improving the efficiency of government agencies and their employees.
