Residents of a new residential area on the right bank of Astana say that instead of the promised park, construction of multi-story buildings continues. They claim the green zone was promised when they bought apartments, but for more than five years the plot has been gradually built up. This was reported by KTK TV channel.
The density of development has become so high that windows of neighboring houses are almost opposite each other. "House on house! We look into windows and see who is undressing! Where is this leading?" they complain.
Resident Sagira Amirbekova said that when buying housing, the developer promised to create a park that would be a recreation area. "When we bought apartments here, they told us there would be a park. For us retirees, it was very pleasant that we could walk instead of sitting in apartments. But now it turns out that construction on this so-called park site is endless," she said.
In addition to the lack of green space, residents complain about broken roads and mud due to constant construction work. They say that in rainy weather, it becomes almost impossible to drive or walk to the houses.
Another resident, Bauyrzhan Uteulin, said people are afraid of new housing complexes appearing where they expected a park. "When the prosecutor's office and the district administration came, they told us: 'We will check everything, whether it is legal.' But we worry that in the end it will all be recognized as legal," he noted.
According to KTK, a new wave of discontent began after the installation of new construction fences. Residents fear that another high-rise will be built on the vacant land.
Sensata Group stated that the construction is legal. According to the developer, the facility on Zhumeken Nazhimedenov Street is being built with all necessary permits, including a start-of-construction notice. "As for the plot at the address Sarayshyk district, Akhmet Baitursynuly Street, plot No. 14B, no construction and installation work has been carried out on this plot. The company has permits for design and survey work, which were carried out in accordance with current legislation," Sensata Group said.
Despite this, residents doubt that the promised park will ever appear. Instead of large-scale landscaping, they continue to see construction of new residential buildings.
