An incident in Kazakhstan's capital has drawn widespread attention on social media: two men went on a rampage in a residential complex in Astana, and the episode was caught on video. According to infohub.kz, the city police department confirmed that the offenders were detained.

The Telegram channel Astanovka98 published video footage showing the inappropriate behavior of a man who appeared to be intoxicated. The footage shows him first kicking an elevator and then knocking over a baby stroller on a stairwell landing.

"Then, after taking off his underwear, he tried to relieve himself in it, and then entered someone else's apartment. Residents of the residential complex had to forcibly bring the troublemaker to his senses," the post said.

Cameras also captured a fight between two men.

The press service of the Astana Police Department told a NUR.KZ correspondent that officers identified and detained two offenders — men aged 27 and 30.

"For committing petty hooliganism and disturbing the peace, both men were held administratively liable and placed in a temporary detention room. In addition, the 30-year-old man was held liable for appearing in a public place while intoxicated," police said.

The Astana Police Department added that the case materials have been sent to court for a decision.
