A resident of Astana has managed to get a partial refund for services that were promised but not provided by a dental clinic, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Committee for Consumer Protection, a citizen who had taken out an installment plan for dental treatment totaling 802,725 tenge filed a complaint with the Department of Trade and Consumer Protection in Astana.

The consumer was supposed to receive a range of dental services, including treatment and extraction of teeth, as well as the installation of braces within a specified timeframe. However, only part of the paid services was actually provided. The consumer was not assigned an orthodontist, no orthodontic treatment plan was drawn up, and the installation of braces was postponed several times.

In this regard, the consumer approached the dental clinic demanding a refund for the unprovided services, but received no proper response.

During the review of the complaint, specialists worked to resolve the situation. As a result, the consumer received a refund for the unprovided services.

The press service noted: "When paying for medical and other services, consumers are advised to keep contracts, receipts, payment documents, and correspondence with the service provider. In case of a dispute, it is necessary to send a written claim to the provider in a timely manner. If rights are violated, the consumer has the right to contact the Department of Trade and Consumer Protection for advice and assistance in restoring violated rights."
