The trial over the facade collapse in Astana, which killed paramedic Uldana Myrzuan, continues. The latest witness was Zhangeldy Kaliyev, brother of two victims, who was also injured in the incident. He shared details of what happened, reports infohub.kz.

According to Kaliyev, on November 8, he heard a loud sound like thunder. At first, he thought someone had dropped trash bins, but soon his sister Gulnar called, saying they were trapped under debris in a store. He rushed to help, but the entrance was blocked.

Entering the store, he saw his sister Gulnar, then noticed Aynur lying unconscious in the aisle, covered in blood and moaning. As he tried to process what was happening, sand began to fall. Looking up, he saw nothing, then lost consciousness. He came to in an ambulance, where they asked for his ID number. In the hospital, he periodically lost consciousness.

During the hearing, Kaliyev stated that he has no claims against the defendant, the head of the OSI. Earlier, Gulnar Kaliyeva, also injured in the collapse, testified in court.
