An Astana resident using the handle elena.zvezdnaya reported on the social network Threads that her child was hospitalized after eating at one of Kazakhstan's fast-food chains, infohub.kz reports.

According to the woman, the child suffered a severe allergic reaction. "His whole body broke out in blisters that itched, and the redness spread across his body at lightning speed! Suprastin didn't help, so we had to call an ambulance. The child was given a prednisolone injection. The doctors warned that angioedema could set in at any moment and that liver intoxication was possible. The next day it all happened again, and the child was hospitalized," she wrote.

Later, according to the Astana resident, another child with an equally severe allergic reaction was admitted to the same hospital room as her child. The woman claims that this child had eaten at the same fast-food chain.

"My child keeps breaking out in redness and blisters every day — the allergen is very hard to clear from the body. And it keeps flaring up," the woman said. In the comments, she clarified that her child had eaten a burger and french fries.

An NUR.KZ correspondent obtained a comment on the situation from the Astana Public Health Department. "The Astana Public Health Department reports that two patients are showing an allergic reaction. The patients are receiving all necessary medical care. Their condition is stable, with positive dynamics observed," the agency said.
