In Astana, two men who launched fireworks at night have been arrested for five days instead of enjoying the festive occasion, reports infohub.kz.
The first incident occurred near a hotel in the capital. A 50-year-old man decided to put on a bright fireworks display to celebrate the birthday of his future daughter-in-law. However, the festive event disturbed the peace of residents in nearby residential complexes. Officers of the Astana Police Department issued an administrative protocol against the offender for petty hooliganism. By court decision, he was sentenced to five days of arrest.
The second case took place in one of the city's residential areas. A 26-year-old man, after performing the 'kyz uzatu' (bridal send-off) ceremony, decided to congratulate the young family by launching fireworks near an apartment building. Despite the festive occasion, his actions were also deemed a violation of public order. The court imposed the same punishment: five days of administrative arrest.
The capital's police remind that launching pyrotechnic devices near residential buildings, especially at night, disturbs citizens' peace and may pose a safety threat. Law enforcement urges residents and guests of the capital to respect others' right to rest and strictly comply with legal requirements.
