A resident of Astana has filed a police complaint after being subjected to indecent acts by an unknown man, according to infohub.kz.
The incident was caught on video. The Telegram channel Qumash published footage of the incident in Astana involving the inappropriate behavior of an unidentified man toward a young woman.
"The man followed the Astana resident for some time and then touched her intimate parts and fled," the post said.
A NUR.KZ correspondent requested comment from the press service of the capital's police department. It said the woman had filed a statement with police about the unlawful actions of an unknown man.
"The case has been registered, and police officers have identified the man who, according to preliminary information, followed the young woman on the street and committed indecent acts against her as she entered a building," the Astana police department added.
Police said a probe is now under way, and that the man will be held accountable in accordance with the law based on its results.
