The previous day, July 22, the capital saw 20.8 mm of rain. Over two days, Astana recorded 39 mm, nearly 70% of the monthly norm.
Heavy rainfall caused water accumulation in some areas. Municipal services quickly responded, and crews continue cleaning drainage systems and storm inlets.
Earlier, Astana's communal services were put on enhanced alert due to rains. Rescuers are assisting citizens, pulling cars from flooded sections, and ensuring safe traffic flow.
