Drivers in Kazakhstan's capital face temporary changes to traffic flow: from September 15 to 20, work will be carried out on R. Koshkarbayev Avenue in Astana to lay asphalt concrete beneath weight sensors, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the Astana city administration, the repairs will affect the section between Sh. Kudaiberdiuly Avenue and Abylai Khan Avenue. "From September 15 to 20, work will be carried out in Astana to lay asphalt concrete beneath weight sensors on R. Koshkarbayev Avenue, on the section between Sh. Kudaiberdiuly Avenue and Abylai Khan Avenue," the city administration said in a statement.
Because of the roadwork, vehicle traffic on that section will be organized along one side of the road in both directions.
The city administration added that road signs and markers will be installed at the site to ensure safety and minimize inconvenience. "Drivers and pedestrians are asked to plan their routes in advance and take possible changes in traffic organization into account," the city administration said.
It was reported earlier that traffic on Nurmagambetov Street in Astana would be partially closed for repairs.
