In Astana, a man who celebrated a festive event at a restaurant has been held accountable for setting off fireworks, according to infohub.kz.

According to the Astana Police Department, after the conclusion of the "kyz uzatu" ceremony, a 27-year-old resident of the capital launched fireworks near one of the restaurants. The loud sounds disturbed the peace of residents in nearby residential complexes and caused public discontent. An administrative protocol was drawn up against the man for petty hooliganism.

The court sentenced the offender to five days of administrative arrest.

The police emphasized that festive mood should not become a reason to disturb the peace of others. "Celebrations, fireworks, and other actions must be carried out in compliance with legal requirements and public order. Actions that show clear disrespect for others and violate public order entail administrative liability as established by law," the police department added.
