A court in Astana has ruled on the case of a passenger who threatened a female taxi driver and refused to leave the vehicle. The man has been arrested for 10 days, according to infohub.kz.
Earlier, the female taxi driver reported that the passenger harassed her, demanded a kiss, invited her to accompany him, and prevented her from leaving. After the ride, he allegedly tried to take the dashcam and threatened physical violence and arson of the car.
Police classified the incident as petty hooliganism. The press service of Astana courts confirmed that the passenger used foul language towards the driver, refused to get out of the car, and threatened her.
In court, the man fully admitted his guilt. He was given an administrative penalty of 10 days' arrest.
