A motorcyclist who disturbed the nighttime peace by revving his engine outside a residential building has been held accountable in Kazakhstan's capital, according to infohub.kz.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs said Astana law enforcement officers are actively combating disturbances of public order. The ministry emphasized that special attention is now being paid to preventing noise violations specifically at night.
Statistics confirm the scale of the problem: since the beginning of this year, more than 46,000 noise violations have been recorded in Astana. Of that number, 168 cases involved excessive noise created by motorcyclists. In just one day of raid operations, police officers identified 524 traffic violations and 46 noise violations.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs provided a specific example. A resident of Astana called the 112 hotline to complain about noise outside his home. According to the caller, a motorcyclist was creating excessive noise, including by sharply revving the engine. Police identified a 21-year-old citizen. An administrative report was drawn up against him for the noise violation.
