In Astana, a minor damaged the glass of a bus stop pavilion on Bogenbai Batyr Avenue. The incident was caught on video, and police identified the offender, reports infohub.kz.
According to NUR.KZ, citing Polisia.kz, the teenager kicked the bus stop glass and then fled the scene. The damaged pavilion was captured in footage circulating online.
The Telegram channel "News of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan" clarified that police identified the offender. He was held administratively liable for petty hooliganism.
"The minor has been placed on preventive registration. His behavior and the offense committed will be separately reviewed by the commission on juvenile affairs, with appropriate preventive measures to be taken. The teenager's parents were also held administratively liable for improper fulfillment of their duties in raising him," the statement said.
Police noted that the damage caused to city property will be fully recovered from the minor's legal representatives.
"The police continue to respond firmly to acts of vandalism and damage to city property. Each such case receives a legal assessment, and those responsible are held accountable," the department added.
Earlier, it was reported that two young people damaged a sculpture and seven trash bins on the Journalists' Alley in Astana.
