In Astana, a Threads user under the handle rhino.75623163 has approached the city police with an unusual proposal — to make a bet with him, according to infohub.kz.
"Dear representatives of the police department, I propose a wager! If I personally identify 20-30 violations within my district in a single day, then you either dismiss the officer responsible for that district or issue a reprimand to the officers who were on duty that day. I am ready to prove this in practice," the post reads.
The author attached a photo to the post showing a passenger car parked in a space reserved for people with disabilities.
The post drew a large number of comments. It was responded to by the special battalion of the patrol police regiment of the Astana Police Department.
"In order to objectively review your appeal and take appropriate measures, in accordance with the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan 'On Administrative Offenses,' the protocol shall state the date, time, and place of the administrative offense in automatic mode. At the same time, setting the date and time by makeshift means (using a photo editor) is not permitted. Along with this, when such facts are identified, it is necessary to contact channel 102 or send a photo/video appeal indicating the date and time via the mobile application," the police responded.
