In Astana, police fined a 32-year-old man for attempting to cool off in an unauthorized location. Officers conducted a preventive conversation with the offender, according to the website infohub.kz.
The video, which showed the man trying to cool off at a popular local spot—the city dam on the Esil River in the Zelenaya Roshcha-1 area—quickly gained popularity and views. The footage shows the man walking directly in the area of the city dam.
"When it's +40 – the best air conditioner found," reads the caption to the video by user @batyrzhan.zhunusov.
The video also caught the attention of law enforcement. According to the police department of the Saryarka district of Astana, the 32-year-old resident of the capital was brought to administrative responsibility for violating the rules of common water use.
"A preventive conversation was held with the offender. Police remind that under the principle of 'Law and Order,' any violations will be promptly suppressed," the department said.
