In Astana, police officers promptly came to the aid of a woman in labor, ensuring her unhindered passage to the maternity hospital, reports infohub.kz.
The Instagram account of the Astana Police Department told of an incident that occurred at the Kuigenzhar post. On August 24, a man approached the officers, saying his wife had gone into labor and needed urgent medical assistance.
“Every minute counted. The police provided a ‘green corridor,’ allowing the couple to reach the maternity hospital without delay and as quickly as possible. The officers also made sure that the woman was admitted by medical staff and received the necessary care,” the police said.
That same day, a boy was born into the family.
“In such a situation, we tried to do everything possible to ensure the couple reached the maternity hospital as quickly and safely as possible,” said officers Muratbek Omarbekov and Askat Marat.
It is noted that later the husband returned to personally thank the police officers for their help.
