An Astana resident has expressed frustration over persistent traffic jams at the intersection of Tole Bi and Syganak streets, complaining that congestion occurs not only during rush hour but also during the day and even on weekends, reports infohub.kz.

A Threads user under the nickname astdev_yerzhan posted an appeal pointing to serious difficulties in driving through one of the capital's intersections. The author called on city authorities to analyze traffic management, identify the causes of the constant congestion, and take measures to increase the throughput capacity of this section.

A NUR.KZ correspondent sought comment from the press service of the Astana akimat. Officials explained that LRT construction is underway in the area of the Tole Bi and Syganak intersection.

"Syganak Street is one of the key transport arteries of the capital, connecting the right and left banks and in high demand among city residents. Due to construction work, traffic on certain sections is organized taking into account the current stages of the project. Changes to traffic management are temporary and allow for safe and consistent execution of construction work. The work is carried out in stages, taking into account the current traffic situation and the need to ensure movement along the road network," the akimat said.

Residents were assured that as construction stages are completed, conditions will be created to restore and further increase the throughput capacity of the road network. It is noted that the LRT construction aims to form a modern and efficient transport system, improve population mobility, and create comfortable conditions for movement of residents and guests of the capital.
