In Kazakhstan's capital, prosecutors have taken a firm stance against the growing trend of loud nighttime celebrations in residential courtyards, holding offenders administratively liable, infohub.kz reports.

The supervisory authority noted that it has recently become a tradition to celebrate birthdays with fireworks and loud music at night near residential buildings. This triggers mass car alarm activations and causes justified discontent among residents.

The capital's prosecutor's office has introduced a practice of holding offenders liable under Part 1 of Article 434 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, "Petty Hooliganism."

According to the agency, 26 offenders have been brought to administrative responsibility. Of these, 19 were arrested for up to 10 days, while 6 women raising children under 14 and 1 minor were fined.

"Launching pyrotechnics at night, among people, near residential buildings or cars poses a direct threat to life, fire safety, health, and property of others. The capital's prosecutor's office urges citizens to respect others' peace and maintain public order," prosecutors said.

Earlier, it was reported that Almaty residents were warned that starting in 2027, fireworks will be banned in the metropolis within the zone of special environmental requirements.
