A passenger on the Antalya-Astana flight has been sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest after behaving aggressively on board and refusing to obey police, according to infohub.kz.

The incident occurred before the flight ended: a 44-year-old resident of the capital, intoxicated, began acting aggressively, using foul language, and disturbing other passengers. After landing at Astana airport, the troublemaker was handed over to transport police.

However, the situation continued on the ground. As noted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs' media portal Polisia.kz, when being taken to the police room, the man refused to comply with lawful requirements and resisted. As a result, police had to use special means – handcuffs.

Following the investigation, the man was held accountable for drinking alcohol or appearing in public places in a state of intoxication. Additionally, materials regarding petty hooliganism and disobedience to a lawful order of a law enforcement officer were sent to court. The court found him guilty and imposed a sentence of 10 days of arrest.

The Transport Police Department reminds that maintaining order on board an aircraft is primarily a matter of safety for all passengers and crew.
