Starting October 17, Kazakhstan's capital will increase the number of locations where personalized school and discount transit cards for bus and light rail travel can be issued, reports infohub.kz.
According to City Transportation Systems' Instagram account, personalized school and discount transit cards for bus public transport will now be available at all Tarlan Astana (LRT) stations.
"Thus, in addition to the Central Ticket Office, the number of specialized ticket offices for issuing transit cards will increase, improving service accessibility for capital residents. At these ticket offices, discount and school transit cards for bus and Tarlan Astana light rail travel can be issued," the statement said.
The company reminded that personalized transit cards can be issued to students of Astana educational institutions aged 7 to 18, as well as citizens registered and permanently residing in Astana who belong to discount categories approved by the Astana Maslikhat.
To issue a school transit card, the original ID or passport of one parent or legal representative, the original birth certificate of the child with IIN, the original certificate from an Astana educational institution, and a color photograph sized 3 × 4 cm or 4 × 6 cm are required.
To issue a discount transit card, the original ID or passport, the original pension certificate, and a color photograph sized 3 × 4 cm or 4 × 6 cm are required.
It is noted that digital documents in the eGov Mobile app, including "Social ID," are valid upon presentation.
